The Economic Self Sufficiency Program (ESSP) provides participants and their families with training used as a strategy to increase the opportunity for participants to become self-employed by starting and operating a micro-business. The program provides training that includes financial literacy, life skills, business development and technical assistance.  Training topics include, but not limited to: how to write a business plan, business idea feasibility and goal setting, presentation, legal structure, pricing product/service, marketing and advertising, record keeping and taxes, and technical assistance.
